Palmerstown Community Allotment
Established in 2014, this was an inter-generational project that brought young and old together to grow fruit and vegetables.
It consisted of 8 raised beds which were used by the local community providing a space where ideas and experiences were shared in this tranquil oasis just minutes from Dublin city.
It was designed and managed by Hazel Proctor during 2014-2015.

With the help from a fantastic group of local volunteers the community allotment was transformed from a static design on paper to a living, growing reality.
The allotment was officially opened by the Mayor of South County Dublin, Fintan Warfield on September 20th 2014. This brought together all walks of life and is a continued success today.
